*Reduced asking price* - Now seriously for sale! ‘Stowaway’ is one of the earlier, and in my slightly biased view, better looking Nic 32’s, with more classic lines and hull shape. The seaworthiness and ability of these boats under sail is world renowned; they are simply wonderful boats, with real character. Sadly, after 9 very happy years of sailing and ownership, my boating needs have changed and I am looking for something with a bit more space. I have spent more than £10,000 during this time making improvements that have significantly improved her sail handling and sailing performance. These have been made at the expense of her aesthetics and she is in need of some TLC and cosmetic works externally. The hull is sound but there are a few small blisters on the rudder and these works are reflected in the price. Internally, she is well appointed, however; she is comfortable below and is a very well laid out version (some versions were not so well thought out). Specification: • Long keel • Bermudan masthead sloop • Engine upgraded to Volvo Penta MD-2030D 29hp diesel (late 1990’s) - £2,300 recently spent on replacing the top end • Three-bladed bronze propeller • New fully battened mainsail from Sanders sails, Lymington (Premium Dacron, 2019, hardly used) 3-reef slab reefing system • Furlex roller-reefing headsail • New Tidesmarine fitted mast track system (2019) • New stackpack and lazyjacks from Sanders (2017) • New sprayhood and dodgers from Sanders (2015) • Raymarine tiller-mounted Autopilot • Raymarine Autohelm instruments (wind, speed/log, depth/echosounder) • Ritchie compass • Neptune 100 VHF radio Other works and upgrades • New throttle lever and cables (2019) • New masthead tri white light (2019) • New main halyard, topping lift and reefing lines (2016) • New water pump fitted (2016) • New propeller shaft, cutlass bearing and stern gland fitted by Berthon of Lymington (2016) • New navigation lights and wiring (2014) • All through-hull fittings renewed (2014) Engine regularly serviced professionally Rigging regularly checked by Ocean Rigging of Lymington Additional items: Below deck: 1 x beaded teak saloon table (collapsible) 1 x large beaded teak chart table 2 x new batteries (2015, one service, one engine, connected in parallel) 1 x Plastimo 2-burner gas hob with grill 1 x Jabsco sea toilet / head (hand pump replaced 2015) 2 x dorade vents 1 x CD player and speakers (below deck) 1 x carbon monoxide alarm/detector 2 x fire extinguishers 1 x fire blanket On deck: 1 x 4-man Seago liferaft (2016) 1x 16 KG Kobra anchor with circa 60m chain 1 x deck-mounted windlass (needs freeing up) 1 x secondary Danforth anchor (deck mounted) 2 x jackstays from Sanders (measured to fit) 1 x 50w solar panel (still boxed, never fitted) 1 x radar reflector 1 x additional metal radar reflector 1 x anchor ball 1 x bathing ladder 1 x spinnaker pole 1 x no.2 jib (old, never used) Aft locker for 2 x gas bottles Various warps, ropes, spinnaker sheets and guys (no spinnaker though!) ‘Stowaway’ is lying on a river mooring on the Beaulieu River close to Buckler’s Hard; she is essentially ready to go sailing straight away but cosmetically is in need of some work and some TLC.
