Farr 1104 COMPETITIVE CRUISER/RACER, EXCELLENT CONDITION!Designed by Bruce Farr, the Farr 1104 has certainly stood the test of time and remains highly sought after cruiser/racer. Rating well under IRC, ORCi, and AMS, they regularly feature on the podium of both inshore and offshore races. With spacious interiors and excellent accommodation these versatile vessel are equally suited to cruising with family and friends. This vessel is a superb example of the design and presents in excellent condition throughout. A proven offshore performer, it has won the Melbourne to Hobart race three times, and a clean sweep of all rating divisions in the Launceston to Hobart Race in 2020. It has also been a regular competitor in the Hobart racing scene, winning many twilight and round the can series. The vessel has also been significantly upgraded with a NEW 2010 SWEPT BACK SPREADER MAST (no runners), NEW 2013 BRUCE FARR DESIGNED RUDDER, NEW 2024 SPRAY DODGER, NEW 2021 FOLDING PROP, NEW 2020 DOYLES FULLY BATTENED MAINSAIL, NEW 2020 DOYLES NO. 1 HEADSAIL, NEW 2020 DOYLES MAST HEAD SPINNAKER, NEW 2022 HOUSE AND ENGINE START BATTERIES, the list goes on! With its gleaming grey topsides, and having been freshly antifouled and engine serviced in Jan 2024, this versatile yacht is sure to impress!Stepping inside, the traditional timber trims and grey finishes create a warm and welcoming ambience. To port is the stunning folding leaf dinette, with seating for 8 in comfort on the neatly upholstered settees. The well appointed galley is aft and is well set up for preparing meals at sea. It features a top loading fridge, 2 burner gas stove with grill, stainless steel sink, and plenty of storage. The accommodation is excellent and has plenty of room for the full race crew, or guests when cruising. Forward, the v-berth can be configured as either a double or two singles, there are two generous double berths aft, and three single settee berths in the saloon, providing 9 comfortable berths in total! A true sailor's yacht, the vessel also features an extended chart table, ideal for the serious navigator. It is complete with modern Simrad chart plotter and VHF Radio. The package is complete with bathroom with electric toilet and vanity.Outside, generous cockpit is well protected by the NEW spay dodger. Well set up to be easily managed shorthanded, the vessel features self tailing primary winches, all lines lead back to the cockpit, and the furler for the cruising headsails. There is easy access forward around the wide side decks and the non-slip deck provides excellent security. Equipped with an extensive sail inventory for both cruising and racing, the sailing performance is also sure to impress.This vessel is powered by a Yanmar 2GM20 20HP Diesel engine. This was rebuilt in 2013 and has only done 400hrs since. Having been well maintained it provides easy and reliable cruising at 6 knots.With its extensive upgrades, and excellent presentation, this is a vessel not to miss!
