Jeanneau 52.2 Sun OdysseyA CRUISERS DREAM YACHTEvery passing sailor says "What a Beautiful Yacht".A Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 52.2, dated 2002. A Bruce Farr design. She is the 3 Cabin build, or Owners Cabin build, with 3 wc/shower en-suits. She has that wonderful Jeanneau look, great design and build, and superior all teak internal woodwork make this a very fine yacht indeed. They don't build them this good any longer. When she was first purchased from Jeanneau she had just about every available optional extra included in the build. A very fine example of this Yacht.She has been extensively upgraded with many features to enable extended ocean cruising. The bespoke designed SS Stern Arch makes for easy Dinghy launch and stowage. A really useful bonus. A full list of the fitted specification, and additions thereafter is available on request.With 800 Watts of Solar Power available, the batteries are looked after really well. Even on cloudy days, there is no need for "engine supported" battery charging. The 100hp engine has done only just over 2,000 hours, and was the biggest engine available for this model from Jeanneau.The yacht is dual 220v and 110v. There are sockets available for both types of appliance. Each voltage has its own "input" on the rear transom area, and both inputs, 220v and 110v, have their own battery chargers for the domestic battery bank.There is a 3Kw intelligent inverter system, with automatic changeover from battery to shore power.The extensive All Teak Decks have been replaced where necessary, regardless of expense, and very well maintained to give this yacht a wonderful appearance. The aluminium deck toe rails have been replaced with solid Teak toe rails together with new deck cleats. She is a real eye stopper.The yacht has been used to cruise the complete west coast of North America, from Vancouver to Panama. She has cruised the Pacific extensively. She has supported me every step of the way.With the "enclosed" weatherproof cockpit, it is possible to virtually live in the cockpit and remain comfortable and dry even in the worst conditions. All sheets and halyards are brought into the enclosed cockpit area for very easy handling, coupled with all electric Harken winches. All sails are furling, and coupled with the electric winches, it makes for effortless sail handling and single handed cruising.The main 140% Genoa is brand new and the inner foresail only 4 years old. The Mainsail has recently been overhauled where necessary. The Assemetric Spinaker has hardly ever been used.All the cockpit winches are Harken, Electric Winches, for effortless sailing.A refit of twelve months ago included a new cooker, a new fridge/freezer, and a new separate freezer. Also included was a new anchor winch motor assembly, together with all new 1/2" anchor chain.The equipment installed on the yacht, and the dates and costs of the various installations is as per a separate summary document which is available on request.
