Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 37 - 2005 - £62,950 A well specified example of the hugely popular Sun Odyssey 37. Arguably the most successful Jeanneau model of her build period, the hull is shaped by Jacques Fauroux offering a good blend of performance and comfort. This example has the 'teak' style finish to the interior woodwork and the two cabin ‘Owners’ layout with two indulgent sleeping cabins outside of the saloon; a deeper, more generous cockpit locker abaft the larger heads/shower compartment that can also incorporate a dedicated ‘wets’ oily/sailing boot locker. In the saloon, there is a generous hanging locker between the heads and the dedicated Navigator’s seat. The saloon is stylishly finished with nicely toning cream leather-style saloon seating and she was fitted out with good 'comfort' and 'instrumentation' packages that have been supplemented with generous battery provision - more than doubling the stored capacity of the ‘Domestic and Services’ battery bank; modern charging unit and DC to AC inverter. Accommodation Spacious accommodation offering up to seven berths in the two double cabins plus the saloon table's conversion kit that enables use of the amid-ship berths/seating. Saloon seating is finished in a cream leatherette upholstery. Forward cabin: with a double V-shaped, centreline berth, a hanging & shelved locker to starboard and further shelved lockers to port. There are deeply fiddled shelves to the hull sides, outboard of the sleeping berth and standing space abaft the head of the berth, for convenience when dressing. Light and ventilation provided by an overhead deck hatch, with a roller blind fitted to provide black-out. Saloon: with a large, 'C' shaped seating area to starboard around the saloon table and a straight settee to port, that makes up to a single berth by means of an in-filling cushion that drops into the Navigator’s footwell. Two hull ports ensure good light values in combination in conjunction with a large overhead deck hatch above the table, again with a roller blind fitted. Ample storage lockers and book shelf are fitted to each side. Immediately aft of the chart table seat is a useful, large hanging & storage locker to port, with fiddled shelf atop it. A Hitachi TV/DVD Player is mounted on the forward bulkhead to port side and is attached to a masthead TV Antenna. A Fusion Apollo MS-RA770 entertainment system/stereo with built in WiFi has also been fitted. Chart table to port: with a good size working surface with internal chart stowage and a forward facing navigator’s seat. The master 12V DC distribution panel is fitted outboard, incorporating a multi-function voltmeter display, 12V DC socket heater controller and exhaust temperature alarm & display. The chart plotter and VHF radio are fitted at a convenient angle on an eye-level fascia, facing the navigator. Galley: Provided with a relatively large expanse of workable surface, twin stainless steel sinks with wooden covers and a mixer tap & pressurised water supply. The galley offers a relatively big refrigerator (efficiently top-opening) with a Frigoboat cooling element, and two large, front-opening lockers and cutlery/stowage drawers together with a refuse bin hidden within the under-sinks locker. An ENO two-burner gas stove and oven is fitted and this has a removable wooden cover over it, to supplement the working space of the galley. An opening portlight is strategically located above the cooker for light and ventilation. A 240v Microwave by Russell Hobbs has been fitted within one of the under-sidedeck lockers. Heads Compartment: Featuring a separate shower compartment/toilet area with a glass screen & separation door. Jabsco marine-flushing toilet and holding tank, shower faucet & mixer tap and sump within the sole. A hanging ‘wet’ locker is fitted within the shower area’s aft bulkhead. A stainless steel hand basin is provided within the main area of the compartment; fitted with a mixer tap and mirrored storage locker behind. An opening portlight is fitted within the coachroof providing good ventilation and light levels. A hot air outlet is also fitted to encourage the compartment's drying after use. Aft Cabin: A double aft cabin with a particularly generous sized double berth, and a hanging & shelved locker. 2 x opening portlights provide good ventilation and light levels. Accommodation Comforts: Heating by Eberspacher diesel-fired, hot-air heater unit to all cabins, with a 7 day timer controller and remote control facility via WiFi. A Fusion Apollo MS-RA770 entertainment system/stereo with built-in WiFi is fitted, together with internal speakers in the main saloon, and waterproof Fusion cockpit speakers. Curtains are fitted to the side windows and blinds to the hatches throughout the accommodation spaces. Max. headroom approx. 6ft 4ins.
