Unique family ship!Traditional sailing ship built after an example of an 18th century Hamburg barge, a so-called Ewer, which was used for fishing on the Elbe. A unique and solidly built ship suitable for a museum port. Ship is equipped with a simple dayroom for day and multi-day trips of 14 people who can experience the old sailing. Approved for commercial shipping but also ideal as a family ship. The "Ronja" is a replica of a traditional sailing ship used for fishing on the Elbe in the 18th and 19th centuries. The shape of the ship even dates back to the 11th century when settlers from the Netherlands sailed to Germany with such types of ships; a deep knee bilge with a transom stern and a high rising stem. The ship was built by an association in-house over five years with great skill and knowledge of wooden shipbuilding of yesteryear. The aim was to experience how, hundreds of years ago, people managed to build ships used for trade and fishing without construction plans but with a lot of craftsmanship. At the same time people were interested in how these ships were sailed at that time, the seamanship of the past. Ship is for sale because the association continues with a charter barge that offers more possibilities for more guests.
