The Frigate 27 was designed by David Sadler the man responsible fort bringing the yachting world the every popular Contessa 26 and 32 as well as the Sadler 25, 26, 29 and 32. The Frigate 27 is a fast capable cruiser/racer equally as comfortable in a blow as she is in light airs. She benefits from a reliable Volvo Penta MD2002 and a comprehensive suit of sails including a fully battened mainsail, furling genoa, storm jib, spinnaker and cruising chute. Below decks is clean, comfortable with new headlining's and diesel heating.MechanicalVessel is powered by a reliable and efficient inboard diesel Volvo Penta MD2002. This 18hp, 2-cylinder work horse is located beneath the companionway allowing easy access for servicing and daily checks. Most recent service was January 2024 ready for the season. Single lever throttle control with forward and reverse function. Sail drive unit and 2-bladed folding propeller. Sail drive was removed, serviced and sail drive seal replaced in 2023.Bank of 2x12V batteries providing engine start and domestic power. The batteries are fitted with isolators and are recharged via the engine alternator or the onboard solar panels. Boat benefits from shore power. The Sadler 29 has the same foam filled interior moulding that the Sadler 26 and 32 , which makes her unsinkable and well insulated.Her interior wood joinery is in very good condition as is her upholstery. She was re-engined with an excellent Beta 25 which will push her over most tides and are known for their reliability. The engine has been regularly serviced Her sails are all in good condition and she comes with a Spinnaker and pole.She is easily sailed short or single handed have a roller genoa, lazy jacks on the main, all lines are lead aft and she has a Tiller pilot autohelm.She is in very good condition having been well maintained by her present owner.Barcarolle is available to be viewed ashore in Lymington 7 days a week.
