***UPDATE ***Antifouling für die Saison wurde erneuert ***Fallen und Leinen wurden gegen neue ausgetauscht # CATALINA 42 mk II Sehr geräumige und komfortable Segelyacht mit tollen Segeleigenschaften **Raumaufteilung** Die Catalina 42 mk II ist eine traumhafte Segelyacht amerikanischer Bauart, die mit der Geräumigkeit und dem Komfort heutiger Yachten locker mithalten kann. Sie wurde einst als Sieger ihrer Klasse bezüglich Design, Segeleigenschaften und Komfort gefeiert. Insgesamt baute Catalina Yachts für diesen Schiffstyp vier verschiedene Kabinenaufteilungen. Die hier angebotene Yacht ist ein Zwei-Kabinen-Boot (Two Cabin Pullman Owners Berth) mit einer tollen Raumaufteilung. Schon beim Betreten der Yacht über den Niedergang eröffnet sich die Großzügigkeit des Salons. In der Eignerkabine können zwei Personen schlafen, in der hinteren Doppelkojie ein bis zwei Personen. Auch der Salontisch kann zu einer Schlafmöglichkeit umgebaut werden. **Segeleigenschaften** Natürlich ist die Catalina mit ca. 75 m2 Segelfläche keine Rennyacht, aber die theoretische Rumpfgeschwindigkeit von 8 Knoten hatten wir bei gutem Wind und richtigem Trimm hier und da sogar in Richtung 9 bis 10 Knoten überschritten. Das Boot reagiert aufgrund der Größe und Verdrängung entspannt auf aufkommende Böen. Dafür sorgt die hohe Formstabilität aufgrund der Rumpfbreite von 4,22 m, aber auch die Gewichtsstabilität mit Hilfe des 3.765 kg schweren Flossenkiels. Das kommt auch solchen Mitseglern entgegen, denen eine größere Krängung nicht ganz geheuer ist. Auch in Sturmlagen ist auf das Boot absolut Verlass. Und der robuste Dieselmotor mit 54 PS startet stets sofort und läuft auch dann, wenn es darauf ankam, immer zuverlässig. **Komfort** Ein Absolutes Highlight neben dem tollen Raumgefühl ist die dieselbetriebene Standheizung (Webasto Thermo 90S) mit einer max. Heizleitung von 9,1 kW in Kombination mit einem wasserführenden Heizungssystem (winterfest), das unauffällig und platzsparend verbaut wurde. Also keine trockene Warmluft, sondern angenehme Wärme durch konventionelle Heizkörper – und das innerhalb weniger Minuten. Ein absoluter Wohlfühlfaktor gerade auch bei schlechtem Wetter, was wir sehr geliebt haben. So konnten wir das Boot für gemütliche Familienurlaube bis weit in den kühleren Herbst hinein nutzen. **Zustand** Das Boot befindet sich in einem guten Zustand, ist aber mit Baujahr 1993 natürlich auch etwas in die Jahre gekommen, so dass hier und da mit kleineren Schönheitsreparaturen wieder neuer Glanz erreicht werden kann. Holzapplikationen im Außenbereich müssten neu lackiert werden. Das GFK von Deck und Rumpf könnte poliert und versiegelt werden. Außenlautsprecher für Musik und Funk müssten ersetzt werden. Überzieher für die Winschen müssten erneuert werden. Die Hauptbatterien müssen gewechselt werden. Die Segel sind zwar einsatzfähig, sollten für einen längeren Turn jedoch auch bald ausgetauscht werden. Für das Unterwasserschiff steht eine reguläre Erneuerung des Osmoseschutzes an. Aktuell ist ein frisches Antifouling aufgebracht.
