Well... well..... you've got boats, you've got ships and you've got yachts! In the latter category belongs the Lady Parkstone. This sailing yacht is in absolute competition condition from top to bottom and from bow to stern. The owner, a ship's carpenter, has made it his personal mission to keep this ship in new condition. Everything about this yacht is in excellent condition. As a result, this yacht exudes a luxurious atmosphere that you don't often encounter. It is made of wood, iroko on oak trusses, and built by the F.C. Mitchell & Son Ltd. at Poole, Dorset, Great Britain in 1967. It's a long keeler. She was built for the shipyard owner, Mr. Mitchell himself, who wanted only the best of the best... and of course got. He lovingly sailed and maintained this yacht and then handed it over to his son-in-law, a deep-sea diver who also spared no expense or effort to keep this yacht in top condition. In 1988 she was sold to the current owner who also does everything, yes really EVERYTHING, to keep her in tip-top shape. Every year she is stored dry for the winter and every year the hull, the underwater hull, the upper deck parts and so on are tackled. The result: a yacht that knows no equal. The Lady Parkstone is a graceful yacht with a fine line. She sails great and is used to big water. In the cabin she breathes an atmosphere of luxury and comfort with a nostalgic hint of days gone by. When she was built, the rule was to make a ship as beautiful as possible. This isn't a serial hunt, and you see, you feel that. The Lady Parkstone is perhaps the most beautiful yacht in every harbour where she docks. She has already sailed half of Europe and is ready for another series of fantastic trips with her new skipper. Of course Lady Parkstone is more than complete: - Davits - will be delivered incl. dinghy with engine - beautiful timeless interior - beautiful real glass interior lighting - thick very good cushions throughout the boat - fully equipped galley incl. oven - hot water supply - beautiful toilet - depth gauge - log - beautiful compass - navigation (Garmin 128 GPS) - marine radio - autopilot - fenders with mooring lines - anchor with chain, line and winch - swimming ladder - covers - beautiful steering wheel - bilge pump - 3 fire extinguishers - lifejackets and so on, she's overcompleted! As far as motorisation is concerned, she has recently been fitted with a reconditioned very well running Bukh 3 cylinder marine diesel which delivers 36 HP. The engine has only 1200 running hours! The range is enormous, it has 2 diesel tanks, each with a capacity of 250 litres. The power supply is huge, it has 1 starter battery and 5 service gel batteries (820 amp. in total), all from 2009 and of course in top condition. Of course she has an inverter, shore power and 12V connection. Then the sails. These are from the brand Kemp Sails. The Lady Parkstone is ketch rigged. The sail wardrobe consists of a mizzen sail, mainsail, genoa, jib. Both the genoa and the jib are equipped with a roller reefing system. The jib boom is foldable. All traps, lines and shots in good condition. Furthermore, she is equipped with 4 winches and the stages have all been renewed 4 years ago! She sails really fantastic in the various possible configurations and leaves many a modern sailing boat far behind. Yeah, well... what else can we say about this great yacht? Well, the reason she's being sold is that the current owner is starting a new project and can't give her the attention he thinks she needs anymore. Let's get to the next point. This is not a yacht for the average water sportsman. Owning her is quite a responsibility, just keep her in the top condition she's still in. It will therefore not surprise you that we do not sell her to the first the best. For this yacht we are looking for a true lover who knows what he/she is getting into and who loves a truly timeless yacht with the right look and feel.
