Bianca Commander 31 (Nausikaa 106) is seeking new owners. We are soon expecting our second child and don't have enough time. General info: Bianca Commander is 31 feet (9.32x2.7m) and weighs 3.5 tons. It has 6 beds and a bathroom. The hull was designed by Knud E. Hansen & Jan Kjærulff inspired by Sparkman & Stephens design of the IW31 and constructed by the Danish shipyard Bianca Yachts. Bianca Yachts is known for their excellent quality and beautiful wood interiors. When not under sail, it is powered by a Vire 7hp gasoline inboard engine. The propeller is folding. Sailing qualities: The Commander 31 sails incredibly well. With its fully encapsulated fin keel, the boat can turn quickly and navigate narrow passages without needing to start the engine. It performs best on upwind courses but is easy to handle in all wind directions. It has a large and stable rudder with a tiller and has never broached during the 6 years we have owned it. All sails can be raised and lowered from the cockpit. The Danish rig design makes it safe and comfortable to sail. The mainsheet blocks are located in front of the cockpit. The sails are of high quality and in really good condition, with a large Genoa 30m2 at the front and a smaller mainsail 15m2. It also has a spinnaker boom ca 3m with two spinnakers in great conditions. Renovations: Since taking ownership, we have invested a lot of time in the boat, constantly striving to improve and maintain it. In the first year, we sanded the entire hull down to the fiberglass and redid the bottom. We have only painted it with self-polishing copper-based antifouling paint (Hempel Mille NCT). The hull is usually completely free from barnacles in the autumn. The engine has undergone a complete overhaul and has been removed from the boat. KA Marin on Tjörn (Sweden) has gone through the engine and replaced parts. The Finnish inboard engine requires some attention, and the breaker points have a tendency to fog up, but they can be fixed in two minutes. Our plan was to convert to electric power (as it is one of the easiest boats to convert) to reduce noise levels. The exhaust pipes have been replaced, and the fuel filter is changed every year. If you can work on a moped engine, you can handle a Vire 7. The toilet does not have a holding tank. New sprayhood and sail covers were added 3 years ago. New sail protections and halyards. Community: There is a large community of owners in Denmark and Germany, where most of the boats were sold and are still present. Many boats are in very good condition, and the owners are passionate and help each other with solutions and modernisation of the boat. It is very common to receive comments on the beautiful design and inquiries about the model when entering a new harbor. Galley: The original spirit stove works fine. Danish complete original tableware is included. There is an analog refrigerator compartment with drainage that maintains cold temperatures well. It is conveniently located near the companionway, allowing for serving during sailing or reducing back strain. The saloon has a nice mahogany folding table that comfortably seats 6 people.

She has changed owners four times, also changing her name to Duende and the current Nuba II. She puts it up for sale, the fourth owner who has kept the name. The two tonner designation comes from the IOR, with a rating of 34.5 feet and a length of 42-44 feet. With the current ORC, she is in group 2 with a CDL of 10,761. It must be taken into account that it is a unique prototype specially designed for the competition, premiered that year in the Admiral's Cup, with a solid Kevlar fiber construction that has survived to this day in excellent condition. She does not present any structural or hull problems.
