A rare opportunity to acquire a vintage Boston Whaler sailboat -- The Unsinkable Legend. Who knew Boston Whaler made sailboats?! This 1980 Harpoon 6.2 (20'4" LOA) is hull # 71 of 150 6.2s ever made. Designed by C&C Yachts and constructed at BW's original facility in Rockland, Massachusetts. This boat is a true daysailer and has been used regularly by our family. She is very seaworthy and a joy to sail! I am disappointed to be parting with this boat but need to sell her due to a relocation. Features include: Custom Harpoon 6.2 North Sails mainsail and jib w/ North Sails storage bag Harken mainsheet rigging & hardware Harken jib furler (unique for a boat of this size) Lewmar winches Fixed keel (3'6" draft) with a 550 lb. ballast ANDERSEN Bailers mounted underneath the hull (recently removed and refurbished) Bilge pump New factory Boston Whaler and VA registration decals Also included: Classic Johnson Sailmaster outboard motor (9hp) with gas tank (fully functional and runs strong) New trolling motor New marine battery and battery box (used to run bilge pump) This boat is currently out of the water on stands at EZ Cruz Marina in Woodbridge, Virginia and can easily be put back into a wet slip. I pulled it out this past winter to power wash the exterior and perform general maintenance. If you continue to keep the boat at EZ Cruz, the current slip fee is $500.00 quarterly. 1982 Boston Whaler Harpoon 5.2 Sailboat Open cockpit, Boston Whaler Harpoon 5.2 no cuddy up front to get in the way and allows any passengers to be out of the way up front of the mast as you can see from the first picture taken just after starting of. this boat was made during the last years of their production when the folks at BW knew what they were doing. It sails on a puff of wind. Complete boat, tow, launch and sail as is newish supersail (ft lauderdale) sails. boom kicker, and boom vang. keep the boom in position and rigged with tiller tamer for easy single handed sailing to let go of the helm to hoist the jib or adjust something out of reach of the tiller extension. Windex was added to mast to keep an Osprey off it. mount still there, no windex found (yet) New OEM rub rail, Boston Whaler spec motor mount I haven't used the motor mount in 15 years. . I replaced and re-gelcoated the bailers then too and they are ship shape without leak or rot when closed and self bail when open and underway. The wood is original and complete and functional as what I use for sailing these last few years but some elbow grease and varnish would make more Bristol boat is shrink wrapped on trailer trailer is 1997 load rite with a latch to elevate the fore part and allow launching and re-trailering without having to put much of the rim, let alone the hubs in the water. I launched the boat in the spring to bring to my lift and took it out in the fall for the winter so trailer was in water a couple of dozen times since I got it The boat was only in the water when it was being used and moving I bought this boat in 2002 after looking for one for years & love it.
