Beautiful 20m Aluminium ketch cutter with pilot house built by the famous Picchiotti shipyard in La Spezia Italy who are renowned for building Aluminium super yachts and as a custom built owners yacht she came from the drawing board of the legendary Jack Laurent Giles. She is a comfortable light and fast boat and extremely well built by Picchiotti from rolled Aluminium so her lines are seamless. This true blue water ketch with her hydraulic rig makes sailing her short handed or even solo simple. Apart from having beautiful lines for a sailing boat the main reason for the sheer at the stern is two fold, one it decreases the beam to water line length ratio so as she heels this increases her hull speed and the second is she is extremely manageable in following seas. She was originally built as a high latitude luxury owners yacht and is insulated from the water line up making her warmer in colder climates but also keeps her cool in warmer climates another added benefit of this insulation is she is virtually silent inside. She has an extremely powerful upwind rig that can be reefed in seconds with reefing markers built into the sails enabling you to sail by the numbers if needed. She also has a 250sq mtr cruising Spinnaker for downwind sailing. Over the last 3 years the current keepers have kitted her out for long distance offshore cruising & she can go without the need to enter port very often due to her large water tanks. She makes her own drinking water and with the solar power and wind generator she makes more than enough electricity without the need to start the generator whilst at anchor or under sail. She carries a large battery bank that normally uses less than 6% overnight and is normally back to 100% by 11am. She has a 2 ring Induction hob as well as a 3 ring gas hob lowering the need for gas refills. She has had a major refit including full zero hours rebuild of the Mercedes OM352 Diesel engine, new solar array with high output monocrystalline panels, new sails, new 50kg Delta anchor, new 110m x 12mm chain, new 170 amp 24v high output low rpm Alternator, new spray hood and full all weather cockpit enclosure, new cockpit seating, new cockpit pilot seat, new main automatic bilge pump, new 5 stage reverse Osmosis system for fresh drinking water, new deck shower, low power seawater cooled refrigeration system with new compressor and pump, 3kw Inverter charger, new 30mm docking lines + 80m unused, new 8kw diesel cabin heating, new 5kw diesel hot water system & restored teak deck and recaulked (teak deck is bonded onto the Aluminium coach roof not screwed), 13 x winches all serviced.
