Swainby Stroller is an Australian registered Cheoy Lee 38ft Offshore Sloop. We've owned her for 5 years and sailed her extensively around the NT coast and islands. She is very well ventilated for tropical cruising with 3 hatches, 4 dorades and 7 opening portlights. We decided to live aboard 2 years ago and sail east to see North Queensland, The Great Barrier Reef and the Whitsunday Islands. She is set up for coastal cruising but has proven Bluewater capabilities. The hull is solid fibreglass with a integral fin keel. Sails are Main, furling Genoa, furling #4 Jib and Spinnaker. All are in good condition. The Teak deck is glued on (not screwed) and is in good condition though there is some wear near the ladder area. In 2021 the Standing Rigging was replaced and a new Dodger and Sail cover were made. All the foam for bedding and seating was renewed and recovered. She has a solid Aluminium Bimini covering a spacious cockpit area. She has a manual flush head with sink and new tap ware, a gimballed Broadwater gas oven with a 4 burner stove top and a stainless gas BBQ in the cockpit. 12v Tv/dvd. She holds 400L of fresh water with a charcoal filter system. The engine is a 55hp Perkins 4.108 diesel engine in very good, reliable condition. She holds 120L of fuel. There is some damage to the timber veneer inside due to age and some water damage to the veneer around some of the portlights but most of the timber work has been revarnished and presents well. The electric anchor winch is being used manually as the electric winch motor is playing up......again. She has an inbuilt chest fridge with seperate cooler compartment that isn't working (the compressor unit will need to be replaced) but there is a Waeco 40litre fridge/freezer on board. She has a Navman depth sounder, a Raymarine Chartplotter, Furuno radar, Uniden VHF radio, Raymarine autopilot and built in compass. All safety gear in date (epirb, 2 x self inflating life jackets, flares, life ring etc) A Dolphin 2.8 metre aluminium dinghy with a 5hp Honda outboard. In Oct 2023 she was hauled out and antifouled with 4 coats of International Micron 1 Ablative antifoul. 600W of new solar panels were added with a new 300W sinewave inverter. Winches were serviced and a new raw water pump kit was installed on the engine. This is a lot of boat for the money and she is ready to cruise. She is ideally suited to someone heading north to cruise the Great Barrier Reef region.
